BPU To Consider Rule GR-16 for Advanced Metering Infrastructure
The Board of Public Utilities approved General Rule GR-16 on Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) at a public hearing on February 20th, 2019. The Rule includes a provision under GR-16.03 to allow customers to opt out of the AMI project without penalty.

The Board of Public Utilities (BPU) approved Ordinance 02-294 at a public hearing on February 20, 2019. Council is scheduled to introduce this ordinance on March 5th and their public hearing is scheduled for April 2nd, 6:00 p.m. at 1000 Central Avenue, Council Chambers.
