Many overhead components of DPU’s electric infrastructure operate near or past their useful life. Some are 50+ years old. The Asset Management Program  prioritizes these projects systematically. The O&M program includes replacement of power poles, cross-arms, and revamps (wire & transformer upgrades). Priorities for FY2025 include: Rendija Canyon, Monte Rey South, Monte Rey North, and recloser replacements at the Los Alamos Wastewater Treatment Plant.
