Community invited to a BMX track listening session

Join the Los Alamos County Parks and Open Space Division for a listening session on the proposed BMX track on North Mesa. With a new project manager and a new contractor, Actions Sports Design, the project team is starting fresh with a listening session and they would like to hear from you.

Since its inception in 2019, this project has faced numerous challenges, including multiple false starts, the departure of key staff, project scope concerns, and the impact of the pandemic. The Parks Division staff believe that by partnering with Action Sports Design—a professional firm specializing in the planning, design, and development of action sports venues—they can assess the community’s needs and the feasibility of completing a certified USA BMX track.
