The purpose of this course is for currently certified American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructors to maintain their skills and certification.
All participants must register with a personal email address to access the Red Cross Learning Center.
Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certification for Lifeguarding Instructor valid for 2 years.
To participate in the Lifeguarding Instructor Course, individuals must:
- Be at least 17 years of age on the last day of the course
- Possess a current basic-level certification in Lifeguarding Instructor
- Complete the online learning content on the Red Cross Learning Center
- Obtain all instructor and participant materials before entering the first session of the instructor course.

- 2024 Lifeguard Manual
Maximum of 10 participants per class.
