Lifeguard Review

American Red Cross.png

The purpose of the Lifeguarding Review Course is to ensure participants who currently possess an American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers maintain their skills and certifications. If you currently hold the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, you qualify to take the Lifeguard Review instead of taking the complete Lifeguard Class again. The course "tests out" the participants from all the practical and written exams they would take in the regular Lifeguarding class, and it only "reviews" materials instead of "teaching". As of 2012, the American Red Cross discontinued Lifeguard Challenges, so this is the quickest way a current lifeguard can renew their certification.

Must be 15 years old in order to participate in the review course and participants must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or certification that has been expired for less than 30 days. Need a minimum of 6 participants to hold the class.

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certification for Lifeguarding/First Aid/ CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers valid for 2 years.
