Tortuga Diver Training is a contract instructor for Los Alamos County Recreation Division. The mission of Tortuga Diver Training is to provide the highest quality scuba instruction in the Northern New Mexico area. Whether students are interested in introductory, continuing education, or even professional level training, Tortuga Diver Training can help these individuals achieve their personal scuba diving goals.
Tortuga Diver Training proposes to offer a wide range of scuba training courses under the auspices of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), the single largest scuba certification agency worldwide. Jay Elson, the owner of Tortuga Diver Training is certified by PADI as a Course Director. This represents the highest instructor credential available.

Through the Los Alamos County Aquatic Center, Tortuga Diver Training proposes to offer scuba training courses ranging from experience programs (Discover Scuba Diving), introductory certification (Open Water Scuba), refresher programs (Scuba Review/ReActivate), continuing education (Rescue Diver), professional development (Divemaster and beyond), and even technical/decompression diving.
Subject to meeting certain eligibility requirements, Tortuga Diver Training offers scuba programs to youth, teens, and adults alike.

- Seal Team (youth program): $75
There are no monthly, daily, or drop-in rates. There are stringent and specific eligibility requirements that must be met for each program. Registration is done through the Tortuga Diver Training website.
