Starting or Stopping Services

The Department of Public Utilities has implemented several online forms to facilitate the starting and stopping of services.

The forms are completed and submitted via the County website and sent directly to the Customer Care Center.

You can obtain assistance in completing the forms via phone at 505-662-8333. You are also welcome to request starting or stopping services in person at the Customer Care Center or by emailing customercare@lacnm.us

Application for New Utility Service

Used to apply for new service when moving into Los Alamos County.

Transfer or Stop Utility Service

Used to either transfer services between locations within Los Alamos County OR to stop services.

Landlord Utility Service Agreement

Agreement that authorizes DPU to transfer accounts into a tenant's name and automatically transfers services back into the landlord's name without disruption in service upon a stop request from the tenant.
