DP Road Phase II Reconstruction Project Updates

See the current status of DP Road Phase II Reconstruction Project , including construction updates and impacts on the public.

Canyon Rim Trail Phase III

Design and construction of the Canyon Rim Trail Phase III, extending the Canyon Rim Trail from where it currently ends at Knecht Street, westward to 15th Street along the canyon rim. Final design is pending land acquisitions/easements.

DP Road Infrastructure Phase II - Roadway and Utility Improvements

Upgrade water, gas and electric services. Install new sewer line and lift station. Upgrade fiber and communication infrastructure where necessary. Reconstruct roadway to include curb/gutter, sidewalk, storm drain system, street lighting and cul-de-sac turnaround at eastern end. Evaluate parking area layouts on the southside of DP Road.

Finch Street Extension and Road Improvements

Design and construct an extension of Finch Street from the end of 35th Street through the current Los Alamos Medical Center parking lot to Trinity Drive (NM 502). The project will reconfigure the LA Medical Center parking lot, relocate the driveway east

Rose Street Road Reconstruction and Utility Project

Trinity Drive Safety and ADA Improvements (Oppenheimer to Knecht)

Conduct a study followed by design and construction. This project is the result of a 2016 road safety audit and has been awarded Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funding by NMDOT.

Urban Trail Phase I & II Multi-use Trail Project

Urban Trail Phase I includes construction of a 10-foot-wide concrete multi-use trail 0.434 miles in length between the intersection of Trinity Drive and 20th Street, through the Fuller Lodge grounds to the intersection of Ponderosa Street and Spruce Street.

Downtown Los Alamos and White Rock Transit Center Study

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the feasibility, benefits, and costs of locations within Los Alamos County (Downtown Los Alamos and White Rock) that could serve as a transit center/transit-orientated development to enhance transit services for the commuters and residents.

Denver Steels Phase II - 36th St., Pueblo, Questa, and Ridgeway

The project consists of a full reconstruction including pavement replacement and ADA safety improvements of Western Area No. 2 Neighborhood Denver Steels Phase 2 – 36th Street/Ridgeway Drive/Questa Drive/Pueblo Drive.
