Proposed Animal & Wildlife Ordinances

Los Alamos County is presenting two proposed ordinances to the County Council to be considered for adoption. One will amend the existing Chapter 6, Animal Code, and the other will add a section prohibiting the feeding of waterfowl and wild animals. 

1. Draft Ordinance 02-306(PDF, 136KB)  to amend Chapter 6, Animals. (The ordinance was introduced on November 28th and will be considered by the Council at the December 12th public hearing.)

2. Draft Ordinance 02-###(PDF, 141KB)  to add Section 6-22, Prohibiting the feeding of waterfowl and wild animals.  (This ordinance will be discussed at the December 12th council meeting and councilors will determine what next steps, if any, will be taken.)
