It has come to the Los Alamos Community Services Department (CSD) and the Golf Course’s attention that false information has been circulating regarding CSD and the Golf Course working with an unnamed company to create a scorecard app to replace the current paper ones. Bench Craft currently produces the yardage booklet, but the Los Alamos County Golf Course is not working with any company to digitize scorecards.

The unnamed company has reportedly contacted local businesses seeking sponsorships to display on the app. If contacted and asked for sponsorships or funding from any source claiming to be working with CSD, local businesses are advised to first contact Community Services Director Cory Styron to confirm any supposed business relations unless information on such partnerships has already been made publicly available by CSD.

The Los Alamos Police Department also warns citizens and businesses never to provide any banking information, credit card information, or other personal information over the phone.

Cory Styron can be reached at (505) 662–8242, or via email at cory.styron@lacnm.us.
