Construction Open House Location Update
Published on April 15, 2025
The location for Saturday’s family day event hosted by the NM-4 pipeline project contractor has been changed from the construction yard on NM-4 to the Tewa gas station at Totavi.
The community is invited to learn what it takes to construct a 3.5-mile water transmission pipeline along NM-4. Wagner Construction, contractor to the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU), will host its informal family day event on Saturday, April 19, from noon until 6 p.m.
Equipment enthusiasts and infrastructure fanatics are welcome to stop by and check out all the vehicles and equipment. Feel free to give the tires a kick, climb aboard, or just stand back to admire the durability and design of the modern construction machines.
The Tewa gas station is approximately 3.4 miles east of the Anderson Overlook.
Wagner Construction, Inc., is a Minnesota-based company that was awarded the contract for Los Alamos County’s NM-4 Water Transmission Line Replacement/Fiber Conduit Installation Project. The project site extends along NM-4 from Rover Boulevard to NM-502. With most of the pipeline in place well ahead of the original schedule, Wagner’s crews are looking forward to a moment to connect with the community they’ve been situated in since February.
