Enjoy Films from 8 Countries at the Los Alamos Film & Culture Festival

Los Alamos County invites film lovers to attend the upcoming international entertainment event—the second annual Los Alamos Film & Culture Festival. Held February 21–23, 2025, the festival will feature over 20 films and shorts from eight different countries. Presented by Los Alamos County, the festival focuses on celebrating cultures from around the world with the mission of combating xenophobia and racism through storytelling.
Films kick off on Friday, February 21 at 3 p.m. with student-created films until 4:30 p.m. Friday will wrap up with a feature film and a short film from 5–6:30 p.m. Films continue with both shorts and documentaries throughout the day on Saturday from 1– 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 1–5:30 p.m. at SALA Event Center. On Saturday, viewers will have the chance to experience the U.S. premiere of Sergio Dondoli’s Happy Life.
The 2025 festival will feature films from Lebanon, France, the United States, Georgia, Iran, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Canada. In addition to viewing films, attendees will have the chance to sample complimentary refreshments from participating countries.
“Los Alamos is a vibrant small town, bursting with culture and a deep love for the arts,” said Ellyn Felton, Marketing Specialist for Los Alamos County. “We invite all to come out and experience incredible films on the big screen as well as an immersive cultural experience, complete with delicious internationally inspired treats.”
