First Public Meeting for a Shade Structure for Los Alamos Ice Rink

The Public Works and Community Services departments invite residents to the first of three public meetings to discuss the initial conceptual phase of shade structure options for the Los Alamos Ice Rink. This in-person meeting will be held on Thursday Jan. 9, at 5:30 PM, at 1000 Central Avenue, at the Boards and Commissions Room. This meeting will be part of the business agenda of the Parks and Recreation Board Meeting.

At this meeting, the Public Works and Community Services staff will introduce the project’s planning and public outreach process, present a summary of previous efforts, and share the schedule for two follow-up public meetings. They will also explain how individuals can provide feedback through an online survey available from January 9 to the 23 (14 days). The objective is to collect community input on various aspects of potential shade structures to help inform the decision-making process.
