In today’s busy world, many people prefer to save time by completing their personal business online. For those folks, the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) has added online forms to its website for many of its customer requests.

Staff of the DPU’s Customer Care Center recently added online forms to facilitate:

  • Applications for new service
  • Transfers or cancellations of service
  • Landlord agreements
  • Landlord letters

To reach these forms, customers may visit ladpu.com/changeservice.

“We anticipate that having these forms available online will be helpful to our customers who may not have time to stop by our office or call us during the workday,” said Business Operations Manager Joann Gentry. “If we can help streamline their responsibilities when they need to start and stop utility services, it’s a win for all of us.”

Any customers who prefer handling their business in person or on the phone won’t see any change to those options as the staff of the Customer Care Center is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays on the ground floor of the Los Alamos County Municipal Building (505-662-8333).

While many other utilities-related forms and customer portals are already online at the department’s website at ladpu.com/DPU, the four newest forms have been created not only for customer convenience, but also to help staff streamline processes and improve documentation of accounts.
