Northern New Mexico Royalty Court Crowned

Over the past weekend, Los Alamos County held the 2nd Annual Northern New Mexico Fair & Rodeo Royalty Court Competition. The competition had six registrants: two for Jr. Sweetheart, one for Sweetheart, one for Princess, and two for Queen.

Each contestant gave a formal speech before a panel of judges and competed in a horsemanship contest. Below is the crowned court for 2024:

  • Queen: Belita Martinez
  • Princess – Jewel Jaramillo, 2nd year running.
  • Sweetheart – Lilyanne Montoya
  • Jr. Sweetheart – Ashleigh Enriquez

They were all crowned on Saturday, June 8th, by the former Northern New Mexico Fair and Rodeo Royalty Court Queen Aspen Jaramillo, and judges Courtney Gurule and former New

Mexico State Fair Queen Tonantzin Candelaria.
