Offices closed Oct. 14 in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous Peoples Day United States of America Second Monday of October
In observance of Indigenous Peoples Day, some Los Alamos County government offices and services will close or have modified hours on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024. 
The County’s administrative offices, Atomic City Transit fixed bus routes, and the Environmental Services division are closed on Monday. In addition, the following facilities will have modified hours:
  • White Rock and Mesa libraries  - Open from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Aquatic Center  - The entire facility will be open from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Golf Course and Golf Shop - Closed
  • Environmental Services commercial/residential refuse/recycle services will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 15. If the observed date falls on your normal trash day, place your materials out on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
  • Atomic City Transit Dial a Ride – ACT will operate a Dial a Ride Service from 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Residents must call (505) 661-RIDE (7433) to schedule a ride on a first come first serve basis beginning Monday at 5:45 a.m.  The last call to reserve a ride is 5:15 p.m. Regular services will resume Tuesday, Oct. 15.
