Affordable rental housing projects are located throughout Los Alamos. These are subsidized by various state and federal programs to provide assistance for lower income residents.

Los Alamos County collaborates with the Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority (SFCHA) – Española Office to provide Section 8 assistance. SFCHA has informed the County that the current waiting list is approximately two years long. Additionally, they will not be visiting Los Alamos this quarter but hope to resume visits in late fall.
