Save As You Throw

On February 21, 2019, the Environmental Sustainability (ESB) approved the formation of the Save As You Throw (SAYT) Research Subcommittee with a 6-0 vote. The purpose of the SAYT Research Subcommittee is to research tiered rate structures for Los Alamos County residential solid waste services, gather public input regarding a tiered rate structure and provide a recommendation to the Environmental Sustainability Board. Los Alamos County Council approved the creation of this SAYT Research subcommittee on April 2, 2019. All outcomes and recommendations will be reported to County Council for final approval. See Proposed Guidelines here
