County Update 72 on COVID: Vaccine Clinic This Sunday, Appointments Only
Posted on 02/10/2021
Some Los Alamos citizens who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and are registered with the New Mexico Department of Health (NM DOH) will receive an email or a text message this week. NM DOH notifications will provide information on how to schedule an appointment for a vaccine clinic to be held this Sunday, February 14 at the Los Alamos High School Griffith Gym, 1300 Diamond Drive. The event is being hosted by Nambe Drugs, Los Alamos County and the NM DOH.

Due to a limited supply of vaccine, the NM DOH is prioritizing notification to those healthcare workers and adults 75 years and older who are most in need and still waiting for a first dose. Upon receipt of the NM DOH email or text message, those individuals will need to click on the link provided to access their profile, entering their confirmation number and birthdate. Select “Schedule an Appointment” and enter the “Special Event Code” (also provided in the email or text) to schedule an appointment. In some cases, it may be necessary to unselect the “Yes, I have a Special Event Code” in order to choose Los Alamos in the city window. Individuals will then be prompted to select an appointment time.

Appointments are required to receive a vaccine. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Los Alamos citizens who do not receive a NM DOH notification for this upcoming vaccine clinic are encouraged to remain patient. As more vaccine doses become available, more clinics will be scheduled.

Los Alamos County Emergency Manager Beverley Simpson reminds citizens that are interested in receiving a vaccine to register on the NM DOH website Individuals will receive a confirmation code which will allow the NM DOH to prioritize individuals and contact them when vaccines become available.

For more information, citizens can call NM DOH hotline: 1-855-600-3453, press option 0 for vaccine questions, and then option 4 for tech support. Citizens can also visit the Los Alamos County website at:
