Final Orders

Per Los Alamos County Development Code, Chapter 16, Section 16-72-(f)(5) the Public Hearing decisions by the Planning and Zoning Commission will be sent by mail to all parties and publications. The Findings of Fact and Conclusion of Law, that explain the decision, will be mailed within 10 days.

Appeals

Per Section 16-72-(g)(1) Appeals of final actions may be filed by the following persons:

1. The owner of the property listed on the application.

2. All persons that were required to be mailed notice for the application giving rise to the final action being appealed.

3. Any County official acting in their official capacity whose services, properties, facilities, interest, or operations may be adversely affected by the application; or,

4. Any person who has a recognized legal interest under New Mexico law.

An appeal must be filed with the Community Development Department within 15 calendar days, including weekend days and excluding County-recognized holidays, after the signature date of the Planning and Zoning Commission Chair.
