Los Alamos conducts a biennial citizen survey using the National Community Survey - a questionnaire that measures a community’s livability. The questionnaire asks Los Alamos citizens about their experience living in Los Alamos.

The results of our comprehensive survey are not just for local comparison. They are benchmarked against more than 500 communities nationwide, ensuring a thorough and reliable assessment of our community’s livability.
