Policy Decisions made by Council

LEGISLATIVE DECISIONS DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURES CAN BE REFERENCED WITHIN THE LOS ALAMOS DEVELOPMENT CODE, SEC. 16-75.

Comprehensive Plan Adoption or Amendment:(PDF, 866KB) An application to adopt or amend the Los Alamos County Comprehensive Plan.

County Landmark or Historic District Adoption or Amendment(PDF, 2MB):  An application for the adoption of a county landmark or historic district amendment to the boundaries of a designated historic district, removal of a designated landmark or site, or amending the standards of a historic preservation overlay within the Los Alamos County, Development Code.

Major Zone Map Amendment(PDF, 1MB): An application for a zone map amendment where the proposed map amendment does not concern a single tract, parcel or lot under common ownership, or the land affected by the map amendment is not predominantly owned by a single person or entity under common ownership.

Master Plan Adoption/ Amendment(PDF, 945KB) : An application to adopt or amend a master plan.

Text Amendment(PDF, 928KB): An application to amend the text of the Development Code.

Appeals(PDF, 217KB): An application to appeal a final decision of the Community Development Director or Planning and Zoning Commission.

Owner's Affidavit(PDF, 210KB): For development applications required from the property owner if the application is submitted by an agent acting on his or her behalf.
